A New Year, A New Start
With 2017 around the corner, it’s that time of the year to start setting our goals. A new year means a new start and a new chance to meet your goals. Fitness goals are some of the highest set New Year’s resolutions. However, keeping your fitness goals is one of the hardest hurdles to breach. We are passionate about our clients finding a way to reach their goals following the holiday and year round.
Tips on maintaining your fitness goals:
Fitness goals are achieved through lifestyle changes. There is a saying that goes like this “It takes 13 hours to build an Acura and 6 months to build a Rolls-Royce.” Your body should be considered your Rolls Royce. Reaching that ideal weight and fitness target isn’t going to happen overnight. Starting with small goals can help you achieve minor victories that over time will equal major achievements. Setting these small goals is a great place to start in 2017!
Make it a priority
We all know that we make time for what we think is worth our time. In other words, we prioritize what’s important to us. You must decide that reaching your fitness goals is a high priority because if not you will always find an excuse or never make time to let yourself reach your goals. Analyze where your goals fit in on your list of priorities and then stick to it. Seeing your goals as important will help you achieve them.
Find A Support Team
Very few things in life can be done completely alone. Reaching your fitness goals is definitely not one of them. Finding friends or family members or even a fellow workout partner can be the key piece to maintaining and reaching your fitness goals. We all need to be held accountable and we all need encouragement. Surrounding yourself with a good support team will help you get through the days that you are lacking your own motivation
Even small victories should be rewarded. Getting to your ultimate fitness goals means celebrating along the way. Figure out what motivates you to keep going and use that as a reward whether it be a new bathing suit to show off your new abs or a cheat meal. Whatever the reward that motivates you the most is what you should strive for. Nothing feels better than something you’ve earned!
